Ultra Violet Disinfection- refers to the process whereby ultra violet light is emitted into water for the purpose of rendering any microorganisms present unable to reproduce or cause infection.

General System Features

System Options Available:

- UV light intensity monitor and sensor

- Upgradeable ballast controls

- Outlet solenoid (used in conjunction with UV sensor to ensure only disinfected water is sent to product)

- Flow restrictors

While we sell all models of UV systems our recommendation is always the NSF branded systems. An NSF system is the only way to make sure that your UV is consistently disinfecting your water. What makes the NSF systems different are the standard features they come with as outlined below:

Bulbs

These bulbs give you a 4 log (99.99%)UV light saturation for e-coli removal.

Sensor

These sensors are constantly reading the dose of UV into the water.

Solenoid shut off

Should the sensor pick up that the light has faded or the sleeve has become dirty, it sends a signal to shut off the sensor until the system can be assed or repaired. Without the solenoid this system becomes redundant as bad water could be able to pass to the system.

Flow controls

All systems come with a flow control that is installed on the outlet to insure that the flow rate never goes above the serviceable rate.
